Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MLP Editoração Eletrônica LTDA (CNPJ 69.134.854/0001-67), Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, 1572, Sala 1022, São Paulo, SP, Brazil (“we”, “us”), the operator of YourBookReady, collects and uses personal data when you visit our website or use our service (the “Service”). We are the controller of this data. If you have any questions, write to hello@yourbookready.com.
1. Data we collect
- Contact data: your email address, and your name if you give it to us (for example, as the author name of your book).
- Your content: the manuscripts and files you upload, text you type into the site, images, cover choices and book details such as title, author name, synopsis and biography. A manuscript may contain personal data about you or other people; you decide what it includes.
- Generated files: the layouts, covers and PDF, EPUB and DOCX files produced for you, and the changes you make in the editor.
- Order data: Paddle, our Merchant of Record, collects your payment details and billing information. We receive from Paddle what we need to deliver your order: your email address, the products bought, the amount, currency, country and order status. We never receive or store your card number.
- Communications: the messages you send us and our replies.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time, and error logs, recorded by our hosting providers to run and protect the Service.
- Advertising data, only with your consent: the ad click identifier in the link you used to reach us (such as fbclid or gclid) and events such as page views and purchases, shared with the advertising partners listed in section 5.
2. Why we use your data and our legal bases
- To provide the Service (process your manuscript, produce and deliver your files, give you access to your books and the editor, and send service emails such as sign-in codes and delivery notices). Legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
- To process orders, refunds, receipts and taxes together with Paddle. Legal bases: performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.
- To answer your messages and support you. Legal bases: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in helping you.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- To understand how the site is used through cookieless, aggregated statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the Service. Analytics cookies, if we ever use them, require your consent.
- To measure and improve our advertising. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Cookie settings.
- To comply with the law, including accounting, tax and lawful requests from authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your manuscripts or generated files to train artificial intelligence models, or for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.
3. Artificial intelligence providers
To lay out your book and create its covers, the parts of your content needed for each task are sent to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini) through their business APIs. They process this content to return results to us, on our behalf.
4. How long we keep your data
- Uploaded original files (the manuscript file as you sent it): deleted automatically 7 days after upload.
- Book content, generated files and order details: kept so that you can come back to edit and download your book, until you ask us to delete them.
- Order and invoice records: kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require (in Brazil, generally five years).
- Support messages: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
- Technical logs: kept for short periods set by our hosting providers.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months, after which we ask again.

8. Your rights
European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR and UK GDPR). You have the right to access your personal data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing (including processing based on our legitimate interests), to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to access it, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Allowing marketing cookies may count as “sharing” under California law: you can opt out at any time by rejecting marketing cookies in Cookie settings. In the last 12 months we collected the categories described in section 1: identifiers (such as email and IP address), commercial information (orders), internet activity, and the content you upload. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Brazil (LGPD). You have similar rights under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law, and you may complain to the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@yourbookready.com from the email address linked to your order. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within one month (45 days for California requests), and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to our systems is restricted to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please keep the private links to your books to yourself.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
